Who operates NexisComms

NEXIS (PTY) LTD, registration 2026/654295/07, operates NexisComms. Our business address is CG01 Seaside Village 1, Cormorant Avenue, Big Bay, Cape Town, Western Cape, 7441, South Africa. Accounts, billing and service records

We process your email address, verified account identifier, business profile, order details, domain verification records and the contact, template and consent records you add to your workspace. We use these to provide your account, manage orders, secure the service and record recipient choices. We do not use an enquiry or account registration as consent to marketing.

AWS Cognito handles account registration and authentication. WooCommerce manages orders. Yoco is the configured payment gateway; it handles card details directly when payments become available. Card numbers are not stored by NexisComms. Live sales and outbound delivery are currently disabled in this beta.

Recipient information

Each customer is responsible for the purpose and lawful basis of the recipient information they submit. Recording an email from a public website does not make it subscribed. Our workflow records its source, review notes, previous-request attestation and recipient identity separately from affirmative consent.

Permission requests and marketing require separate review under applicable law and the delivery provider’s policy. The service records consent choices and maintains suppression records for refusals and withdrawals. Merely opening a consent page does not subscribe the recipient. You can refuse or withdraw using the relevant sender’s preference link or contact the sender directly. Contact us if you cannot reach them.

Cookies and infrastructure

We use necessary session, login-binding and shopping-cart cookies. The NexisComms portal does not use advertising trackers or email open/click tracking. Hosting is on the existing AWS server in South Africa; Cognito uses the Africa (Cape Town) region. Cloudflare provides domain registration and DNS. Infrastructure suppliers may process operational data outside South Africa under their applicable terms and safeguards.

Retention and security

Portal data is stored on an encrypted disk volume, with tenant access controls. API secrets are shown once and stored as hashes; stored capability and webhook secrets are encrypted. Account sessions expire within one hour. Consent links expire after 30 days. We retain the minimal recipient/request and suppression evidence needed to respect previous requests and avoid sending again; access and deletion requests are reviewed against that purpose and any applicable recordkeeping duties. Billing records are retained for applicable accounting requirements.

We do not promise that this beta automatically makes a campaign legally compliant. We do not sell recipient lists or add recipients to our own marketing merely because a customer imports them.

Your choices and complaints

Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, object to processing, or withdraw consent. We may need to verify your identity to protect your information. You may also contact South Africa’s Information Regulator.
